Event Spaces
Ballroom & Ballroom Terraces

Our ballroom is located on the top floor of the Museum, with breathtaking views of both the Delaware River and the Philadelphia Center City skyline. Our adjoining outdoor Ballroom terraces, with more amazing views, can be used to meet additional needs, such as pre- or post-cocktail reception, dessert and coffee bar or a customized cigar bar.
Concert Hall
Our renowned concert hall affords the perfect acoustical setting for your dramatic production, musical performance, or corporate presentation. Offering tiered seating, the Concert Hall is located right up the stairs on the second level of the Museum, next to the Boat Gallery.
First Floor Galleries
This area is well known for its view of the three-story replica of the Ben Franklin Bridge just inside the Museum's entrance. This space is ideal for a pre-function reception or an intimate dinner, and allows a dramatic prelude to the maritime exhibits in the Museum’s main galleries
Second Floor Galleries
The Second Floor Galleries are located right outside the Concert Hall. This open and airy space is perfect for use before or after performances as reception space, silent auction areas, and/or meeting breaks.
USS Olympia
Looking for something really different? Planning an event with a military theme? Hold your event on the USS Olympia! The Olympia was Admiral Dewey's Flagship during the Spanish-American War, built in the 1890s. The ship is permanently docked as a floating Museum at Penn’s Landing, just a short walking distance from the Museum.
Ancillary Spaces
We have even more space available to help you create the perfect event! Any of the following ancillary spaces can be used in combination to the main spaces to augment your event, whether it is a ceremony for a wedding, breakout space for a meeting, or exhibit space for a trade show or conference...we've got it!
Ancillary Spaces -- Rotunda
Just steps away from the Balcony Terrace, the Rotunda offers a one-of-a-kind scenic outdoor overlook of the river. It is also the perfect location for a wedding ceremony or cocktail reception with 180 degree water views.
Ancillary Spaces -- Theater
This brand new space features an intimate theater with stadium-style seating for 63. It is ideal for business meetings, presentations, breakout space, and speaking or panel discussion events.
Ancillary Spaces -- Library & Archives
Planning a small, intimate event? Need a breakout room for your team-building meeting or want to host a small meeting? This is the room. This exclusive space is set inside the Museum's coveted library among priceless archives, it has floor to ceiling windows and overlooks Penn's Landing and the USS Olympia.
Ancillary Spaces -- Amphitheater
Use this unique outdoor space during warmer weather for speeches, press conferences, movie nights, concerts and announcements. With tiered granite seating, it is the perfect location to host a captive audience with distant views of the Battleship Olympia, Walt Whitman Bridge and beyond!
Ancillary Spaces -- Executive Conference Room
Use this space for a board or executive management meeting, or a breakout room. This space is located on the third level of the Museum, in the administrative offices. It has windows overlooking the first and second floor galleries and is very private.
Ancillary Spaces -- Boat Shop
Interested in hosting a cocktail reception before or after a boat launch or regatta? The Boat Shop is a rustic space that is an actual working boat building and maintenance shop that opens right onto Penn's Landing. This space has direct access to the Museum's floating dock.
Ancillary Spaces -- Education Center
This space, located on the second floor just off the Boat Gallery, is available for use as needed when secondary space or holding areas are needed for events such as weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs, and meeting breakouts.
Ancillary Spaces -- Entire Facility
Planning a large-scale event? Want some privacy? Or just can’t decide between all of the spaces? Rent the entire facility! This option includes access to all of the Museum galleries, Ballroom, Balcony Terrace and all other outdoor terraces.
